West Hills Community College, more commonly known as West Hills College (WHC), is a two-year community college located in city of Coalinga that serves the higher education and career training needs of students and professionals living in and around the San Joaquin Valley in Northern California. WHC has two campuses, one in Coalinga and another in the city of Lemoore. Established in 1932, Coalinga is the college’s flagship campus and has about 1,300 students. The Lemoore campus, established in 2002, has a total annual enrollment of approximately 3,100 students. WHC also offers courses at the Lemoore Naval Air Station and through a learning center in Firebauch.

WHC is one of only a handful of community colleges that have residential dormitories and offer on-campus housing for students. As a residential institution, WHC is able to attract international students from many foreign countries. WHC has a well known program for International students and offers ESL programs designed tailored to students who’s first language is not English. While West Hills technical only offers associate degrees and certificates, through a partnership with California State University–Fresno and Fresno Pacific University, WHC students are able to earn a four-year bachelor’s degree at the Lemoore campus via video conference.

Unlike many community colleges that are nationally accredited, West Hills is a fully and regionally accredited institution. It is accredited through the Western Assocation of Schools and College of the Higher Learning Commission.

In addition to an exceptional academic offering, WHC sponsors several athletic teams and sports, including baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, golf, soccer, cross country and softball.
