The United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), as the name denotes, is the military academy of the U.S. Coast Guard. The academy was founded in 1876 and is the smallest of the five United States military academies. The academy provides training to soon-to-be Coast Guard officers and offers majors in Civil Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Operations Research and Computer Analysis; Management; Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering; and Government.
