The College of Social Services, at University of Phoenix, provides a rigorous Master of Science in Counseling degree designed to help aspiring professionals achieve their educational goals. The University of Phoenix graduate-level counseling degree program, which is available only at certain campus locations, encompasses the foundations of guidance and counseling.

Master of Science Counseling Degree

University of Phoenix offers a Master of Science in Counseling degree. The program allows students to select from several counseling degree specializations. The Master of Science in Counseling degree provides students with the skills and knowledge required to become a competent and ethical practitioner.

Study psychopathology, psychometrics, ethical issues and more in the community counseling degree concentration offered by University of Phoenix. Students are also provided the opportunity to enroll in the school counseling degree concentration to study student evaluation and assessment if they choose.

The marriage, family and child therapy and marriage and family counseling degree concentrations focus on family systems theory, addictions, family interventions, psychopharmacology and much more. Students enrolled in the mental health counseling degree concentration will have the opportunity to study clinical assessment and diagnosis, personality theories, individual group counseling and counseling models.
