The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, locally referred to as U of M, is a publicly funded and operated research university with campuses in St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. U of M is one of several institutions belonging to the University of Minnesota System. As of 2012, U of M had a total campused-based enrollment of over 52,000 students making it the university with the largest main campus in the United States.
