Accreditation
The University is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission and
the State Accrediting Agency. The separate colleges within the
university are accredited through a variety of agencies.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
Financial Aid can come from the government if you meet financial need
requirements. Scholarships are another option as you are looking for
help to pay your tuition/room and board. UCO offers a First Year
Excellence Scholarship, Community Leadership Scholarship, Civic
Engagement Scholarship, Freshman Scholarships, Departmental
scholarships, scholarships for transfer students, scholarships from
third parties, ROTC scholarships, and minority scholarships. Loans are
another option, but it is best to look at getting Pell grants and
Scholarships before going with a loan.
Library System
The University of Central Oklahoma houses the Chambers Library. Besides
the normal options available at a library, Chambers Library offers a
variety of special exhibits and collections. There are research tools
that will help you on whatever project in which you are currently
involved, and in your down times, you might even have time to do some
research into your family history with the library's genealogy tools.

Student Housing
There are many housing options at the University of Central Oklahoma.
They include the Central Plaza, University Suites, University Commons,
West Hall, and Murdaugh Hall.
Central Plaza
Central Plaza is a co-ed hall that offers a cafeteria, queen beds, private bathrooms, and wireless internet.
University Suites
The University Suites is a resident hall that is newer. It has several
different types of suites that are furnished but also allows some
flexibility in setup.
University Commons
University Commons are apartments that come in two and four bedrooms.
There are is a kitchenette, washer/dryer, and a living area. The
clubhouse in the community includes a pool, ping-pong tables, computer
lab, and lounge with a television.
West Hall
West Hall is a female-only facility. Most of the rooms are double. They
include phone lines and can have cable. There is a tv area as well as
laundry, courtyard, and rooms for studying.
Murdaugh Hall
This is a typical men's dormitory. It has double rooms and is close to classrooms and other necessary areas of the campus.
