School Overview
The University of Arizona (locally referred to as UA or U of A) is located in Tucson, Arizona. U of A was founded in 1885 and it is the oldest, four-year university in the State. University of Arizona is home to one of only three medical schools located in the State of Arizona. However, the University of Arizona College of Medicines is the only one that grants students the status of MD. The Arizona Board of Regents oversees the University of Arizona. The University focuses on educating, serving, inspiring and helping its students discover what they need to become successful in their careers, personal lives, and as members of society. The University of Arizona is the only university in Arizona that belongs to the Association of American Universities.

Navy Blue and Cardinal Red are the colors of U of A athletic teams as well as the school’s colors.
