The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) is located in the medical district of San Antonio, Texas (South Texas Medical Center.) It is an institute of health science research and education.
UTHSCSA is the biggest university of health sciences in South Texas. Beyond serving the 50,000 square mile area of south and central Texas, and San Antonio in the South Texas Medical Center, UTHSCSA also extends to campuses to the Rio Grande Valley and Laredo.
