School Overview
Founded in 1964, Umpqua Community College (abbreviated UCC) is a two-year community college located just outside of Roseburg, Oregon (approximately 5 miles north of the city). The college resides on an expansive 100-acre campus on the Umpqua River and is home to 16 academic buildings, administrative offices and student facilities. Facilities include an olympic size outdoor pool, several tennis courts and a running track.
Total annual enrollment at UCC includes roughly 3,300 full-time students and another 15,500 part-time students. UCC is set up to address the higher education and career training needs of the local community and most of its students come from the Douglas County area.
