The Art Institute of Michigan is located in the Detroit suburb of Novi, Michigan, and is a branch of The Illinois Institute of Art which is owned and operated by Education Management Corporation, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Art Institute of Michigan offers career-oriented education programs in fashion, design, culinary arts and media arts. It is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is approved to award undergraduate and graduate degrees. Since its inception in 2007, the school has experience phenomenal growth.
