The California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) is located in San Francisco, CA. It is a private school with two campuses near the Civic Center District. There are more than 1,400 students that attend CIIS and the institute employers over 70 faculty.

CIIS is made up of three academic schools: the School of Consciousness and Transformation (which offers almost entirely courses in humanities), the School of Professional Psychology and Health, and the School of Undergraduate Studies. While the institute offers several mainstream academic curriculums, most courses offered at CIIS incorporate subject matter of a spiritual orientation as well as mystical influences and esoteric traditions. While the institute is not directly affiliated with any religious denomination or spiritual association, followers of the Bengali sage Sri Aurbindo played a hand in the founding of the school.

The California Institute of Integral Studies is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
