This educational program is designed to prepare students to evaluate the speaking, interpretation, language and related physiological and cognitive capabilities of children and/or adults and develop treatment and rehabilitative solutions in consultation with clinicians and educators. This program frequently includes in depth instruction in the anatomy and physiology of speech and hearing, communications disorders, biomechanics of swallowing and vocal articulation, language assessment and diagnostic techniques, psychology of auditory function and cognitive communication, and management and rehabilitative therapies.
