Southwestern Christian College (also known as SWCC) was established as a African American college but accepts students of any race. SWCC is located in Terrell, Texas, thirty miles east of Dallas. SWCC is run by the Churches of Christ.

Southwestern Christian College’s offers both associates and bachelors degrees. SWCC also offers an alternative two-year study program in most disciplines, except ministry. The school launched its first bachelor degree programs in the early 1980’s and has added several new programs over the last 30 years. Recently SWCC has expanded their offering to include online degree programs.

Most graduates either receive an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Bachelor of Science degree.
