Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) is private higher education institution of complementary and alternative medicine. The school was founded in 1911 and is located in Whittier, California.

The university comprises several autonomous yet interdependent academic schools and colleges including the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, the College of Acupunture and Oriental Medicine, the Integrated Science Program, the School of Professional Studies, and the University Health Centers.

SCU is regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). However, several of the schools programs have special accreditation status. The Doctor of Chiropractic degree offered at SCU is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) and is also approved by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

SCU’s Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) degree is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and is also approved by the California Acupuncture Board.

SCU also offers an Ayurvedic practitioner program in cooperation with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine.
