These nursing schools were created with the intent to prepare individuals in the techniques, knowledge, and procedures needed to become registered nurse. Their goals are to teach you how to provide care for sick, infirmed, disabled, or other individuals or groups. These nursing programs frequently include in-depth instruction in the administration of medication and treatments, referring patients to physicians and other health care specialists, assisting a physician during treatments and examinations, and planning education for health maintenance. Most nursing programs should offer foundational degrees (Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN/ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)) that are needed to sit for the NCLEX-RN test, which must be taken and passed in the state in which you want to be a practicing registered nurse.
Below are colleges and universities providing majors, degrees, and training programs in nursing. Although we have done our best to find schools that offer accredited programs that give you the training required to become a registered nurse, we do not guarantee your ability to sit for the NCLEX-RN test by fulfilling a degree or certification program at any of the schools below. We strongly urge you to confirm any nursing school’s accreditation and state RN licensing ability with the nursing school and the state nursing board prior to committing and enrolling in any program.
