Red Rocks Community College is a two-year community college with campuses in Lakewood and Arvada, Colorado. Red Rocks students can choose from over 150 fields of study, with Associate’s degrees in four areas: arts, sciences, applied science and general studies.
Red Rocks has earned the nickname “The Ivy of Community Colleges” for its high academic standards and qualified faculty. Many students transfer their coursework to a four-year university. Red Rocks has a General Education Transfer Program that is recognized by all major colleges and universities in Colorado.
Red Rocks students can also receive professional certification in a wide range of fields, including business, health care, education, computer information systems, graphic design, accounting, law enforcement, fire science, construction technology, auto technology and outdoor education.
Red Rocks also has a writing center, both online and on-campus, where students can develop college-level writing skills. Free tutoring and study groups are available at both campuses.
Rock Rocks Community College was founded as part of the Community College of Denver in 1969. The school became independent and adopted its current name in 1983, opening the Arvada campus in 1990.
