Founded in 1972, Pima Medical Institute (PMI), located in Tucson, Arizona, is a career college that provides students career education and training designed to prepare them for careers in allied health professions. PMI is one of the largest privately owned and operated allied health schools in the United States. The instituted is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
PMI offers an extensive selection of training options for students seeking careers in allied health care. PMI offers certificate programs in Dental Assisting, Expanded Duties Dental Assisting, Massage Therapy, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Administrative Assisting, Nursing Assisting, Pharmacy Technology, Phlebotomy Technology, and Veterinary Assisting.
Associate degrees are provided in Radiology, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Mortuary Science, Dental Hygiene, Occupational Therapy Assisting, Physical Therapist Assisting, Opthalmic Medical Technology, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, and Veterinary Technology. Both the Health Care Administration and Radiography associate degree programs are offered exclusively online.
PMI offers the following bachelor’s degrees: Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences (BSRS), Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN). All bachelor’s degrees are offered exclusively online through PMI’s virtual campus. All program vary by campus.
