School Overview
Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) is located in Goodwell, Oklahoma. The university is governed by the Board of Regents of the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges. The school receives authorization for and coordination of its academic programs (and financial support) through the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
The school offers associate and bachelor’s degrees in nursing, business, education, history, and several other disciplines. The school also has an agriculture-related degree which prepares students to work in the region’s swine, equine, bovine, and farming-related industries. OPSU is approved by the Oklahoma State Board of Education for training elementary and secondary teachers. OPSU is also regionally accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
