School Overview

Oakland Community College (OCC) is located in Oakland County, Michigan, and is the largest community college in the state. OCC operates two campuses, both of which opened in 1965. The Auburn Hills campus is housed in a renovated Army Nike missile site and the Highland Lakes campus is a former hospital in Union Lake.

Many students from across the region attend OCC for its highly regarded paralegal program, which is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). OCC also hosts an active performing arts program, which hosts regular theater engagements and a two-day performing arts festival every February. OCC’s competitive speech and performance team, The Forensics Team, has claimed both State and National championships.

OCC has an active athletics program and the team name is the Raiders. Male students can participate in varsity sports that include golf, cross-country skiing and basketball; while female varsity programs include softball, volleyball, tennis, cross-country skiing and basketball. OCC also has a variety of club sports, including soccer. The OCC Raiders participate in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NCJAA).
