Northwestern College is a private Christian liberal arts college in Orange City, Iowa. The school is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America (RCA), a Reformed Protestant denomination.

Northwestern College started as an academy in 1882 and later became a junior college in 1928 and a four-year school in 1961. The institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and has been since 1953.

US News World and Report’s 2018 edition of America’s Best Colleges, ranks Northwestern 10th among 80 Midwestern regional colleges. This is currently the 11th year in a row that Northwestern has been named on this prestigious list.
