The University of New Haven (locally referred to as UNH) is privately owned and operated coeducational higher education institution in West Haven, Connecticut. The university also lies on the border of New Haven (a much larger city) and Long Island Sound. According to the U.S. News and World Report UNH is among the top 100 universities in the northeastern United States and is well known of having a top tier engineering school. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees through its five academic colleges: the College of Business, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Lifelong & eLearning, the Tagliatela College of Engineering, and the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. During the past few years the University of New Haven has experienced tremendous growth. Total annual student enrollment is just over 6,000.
