School Overview
National Louis University (abbreviated and often referred to as NLU) is a privately owned and operated four-year university whose main campus is located in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to its Chicago campus, NLU has regional campuses through Illinois and in Beloit and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tampa, Florida and Nowy Sacz, Poland. NLU offers both on-campus and online degrees programs for students unable to attend one of the university’s campus locations. NLU was founded in 1886 and was instrumental in the establishment of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and National Kindergarten Movement.
NLU has a total annual enrollment of roughly 6,600 students, most of which (5000) are post-graduate students. The university offers bachelor’s, master’s and certificate programs in a variety of professional and academic fields of study such as business, biology, computer science, education, English, heatlh science, psychology, social sciences and liberal arts, among others. All degrees and awards are provide through one of the university’s three academic colleges, which include the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Management and Business, and National College of Education.
National Louis University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools to award undergraduate and graduate degrees.
