A multi/interdisciplinary studies major, by definition, is a major that is derived from two or more distinct programs and that is integrated around a unifying theme
or topic that cannot be subsumed under a single discipline or occupational field. For example, a student may participate in a combined accounting and computer science major in preparation to become a forensic accountant or internal auditor. There are many career fields that require multiple expertise that can only be acquired through a multi-interdisciplinary studies major.
