Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM), located in Moorhead, Minnesota, is a public, four-year university. MSUM has almost 7,500 students and over 330 full-time faculty members. The school is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system. It is located across the Red River to the North from Fargo, North Dakota. The Moorhead-Fargo area has a population of over 174,000. The MSUM mascot is the Dragon.
MSUM offers more than 135 majors and 19 areas of study. There are 32 academic departments in its four Colleges: Business & Industry, Arts & Humanities, Social & Natural Sciences, and Education and Human Services. MSUM offers graduate degree programs in over 15 areas of study.

MSUM athletic teams participate in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Dragons compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Men’s and women’s sports include basketball, cross country, football, golf, track & field, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling.
