School Overview

Mesa Community College (MCC) is located in Mesa, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. Founded in 1963, MCC is the largest institution in the Maripoca County Community College District and one of the largest community colleges in the nation. Originally part of Phoenix College, the school became independent in 1965.

Many students begin their college careers at MCC and transfer credits to a four-year university. MCC transfers more students to Arizona State University than almost any other school. Students may also pursue a variety of professional training programs that provide real-world career skills.

MCC offers over 200 Associate’s degrees, as well as certification programs. Fields of study include engineering, business, nursing, computer science, electronics, dental hygiene, bio-technology and more. In addition to on-campus courses, MCC also offers online classes and hybrid programs.

MCC also provides lifelong learning opportunities for people of all ages through the Community Education program, which provides non-credit classes in technology, personal development, fitness and various areas of art.
