This program is designed to prepare students to administer prescribed courses of radiation treatment, maintain pertinent records, and manage patients undergoing radiation therapy. This program frequently includes in depth instruction in applied anatomy and physiology, radiation biology, oncologic pathology, radiation oncology procedures and techniques, tumor localization, radiation dosimetry, patient communication and management, treatment planning, record-keeping, data collection, and applicable standards and regulations.
