This program is designed to prepare students, under the supervision of physicians, to provide medical office administrative services and perform clinical duties including patient intake and care, pre-examination and examination assistance, routine diagnostic and recording procedures, and the administration of medications and first aid. This program frequently includes in depth instruction in medical law and ethics; basic anatomy and physiology; medical office procedures; medical terminology; patient psychology and communications; and clinical diagnostic, testing, examination, and treatment procedures.
