La Sierra University is located in Riverside, California and is directly affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. First established in 1922 as Southeastern California Academy it later changed its name to La Sierra University. In the early 60’s it merged with Loma Linda University, until branching off to become independent in the early 90’s. Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) has recognized La Sierra University as a premier educational institution and the University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
