The city of Kenmore has an estimated population of roughly 21,000 and is located in King County, Washington. Sometimes called “Kenmore by the the Lake”, the city is situated along the north shores of the beautiful Lake Washington.
A few of Kenmore’s more prominent features include the largest seaplane-only in the country, several marinas and waterparks, an exquisite outdoor bike-trail system, a commercial air facility at Kenmore Air Harbor, and Bastyr University.
Bastyr University, a private higher education institution founded in 1978 and a leading school of naturopathic medicine, is Kenmore’s only private four-year university. Bastyr University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on College and Universities (NWCCU).
Kenmore is located between-and in close promimity to-the main campus of University of Washington in Seattle and Cascadia Community College in Bothell. (University of Washington also has a satellite campus co-located on the Cascadio Community college campus.) Best of all, Kenmore is connected to all three schools by an express bus service and a system of paved bike trails. The city’s bus system also has a route that goes directly to Shoreline Community College (SCC). Most of downtown Kenmore is within walking distance the SCC Center for Business and Continuing Education (in Lake Forest Park, Washington).
