Johnson & Wales University (JWU) is a non-profit, private, career-oriented university with its main campus located in Providence, Rhode Island. JWU currently has four operating campuses located throughout the USA. In 1914, Gertrude I. Johnson and Mary T. Wales founded JWU as a business school. Today the school has roughly 17, 000 students enrolled in technology, hospitality, equine management, engineering, education, culinary arts, counseling psychology, and business across its four campuses.
JWU, through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEAS&C).
