Johnson University is a private, four-year Christian university that sits in the beautiful foothills of the Smoky Mountains of Knoxville, Tennessee. Johnson was originally founded as The School of Evangelists in 1893. It was later renamed Johnson Bible College and then Johnson University.
Johnson degree programs include a biblical core and an arts and science core. has many attractive aspects of student life from curricular to extracurricular, including performing arts, extracurricular activities, communal worship, athletics, and intramurals.
The main Johnson University campus buildings include the Gally Commons dining hall, The Underground coffee shop, residence halls, a fitness center, the Johnson University library, five full-service computer labs, a recording studio, and the University Counseling Center (found in Myrtle Hall).
