Hesston College is a privately owned and operated 2-year college located in Hesston, Kansas, roughly 30 miles due north of Wichita. It was founded just over a hundred years ago in 1909 and has a very attractive faculty-to-student ratio of about 1:14. With an total annual enrollment of just over 450 students, Hesston is one of the smaller colleges in Kansas. The college’s students come from across the United States and from 30 other countries.

Hesston College is directly affiliated with the Mennonite Church, an Anabaptist Christian denomination based in the United States. As such, Hesston College offers a secular education with Christ-centered undertones that emphasize faith in Christ, service within the church, and service to others.

Academic Programs

As a two-year college, academic programs at Hesston are limited to Associate of Arts (A.A.) and Associate of Science (A.S.) degrees. While some programs are career-oriented, the college offers mostly liberal arts and pre-professional programs designed to prepare students to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university.
