Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) is a public coeducational university located in Fort Myers, Florida, in Lee County. FGCU is one of nine research universities in Florida and is a member of the State University System of Florida, a system of twelve public universities in Florida. Florida Gulf Coast University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and offers students the option of earning an associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree in one of several fields of study including, but not limited to, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Management, Finance, Management, Computer Information Systems, Taxation and Hospitality Management. FGCU has a relatively high acceptance rate. Entering freshman have an average ACT of 22, an average SAT of 1032 and a high school GPA of 3.35.
