Georgia Military College (GMC), located in Milledgeville and founded in 1879, Georgia, is a middle school, high school and junior college for the United States Military. Along with five other junior military academies, GMC participates in the Early Commissioning Program sponsored by the U.S. Army, which allows graduating students to enroll directly in the armed forces and become a commissioned offers in just two years. GMC is one of the few public schools in the state that does not belong to either the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) or the University System of Georgia (USG).

GMC’s has approximately 280 full-time ROTC students that reside at its main campus in Milledgeville and over 300 commuter students. At its five branch campuses and two extension centers, GMC serves an additional 3,500 students.
