Also known as George C. Wallace State Community College or WCC, Wallance Community College, located in Dothan, Alabama is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and has a total annual enrollment of nearly 4,000 students. WCC also has campuses in Eufaula and Fort Rucker.

WCC was established in 1947 as the George C. Wallace State Technical Trade School. The school has had several different names, first as George C. Wallace State Vocational Trade School and later as George C. Wallace State Technical Junior College. In 1969, it was reorganized as the first comprehensive higher-education institution in Southern Alabama.

The school’s men’s baseball team and the women’s softball team compete in Southern Conference. The men’s baseball team won the AJCCC Championship and the finished 3rd in the nation in the NJCAA. The current coach of the baseball team is Mackey Sasser, former Major League Baseball catcher.
