Established in 1966, Wallace State Community College is two-year higher education institution located in Hanceville, Alabama. The college was named after former Alabama governor George C. Wallace and offers a large selection of 2-year associate’s degrees Wallace State offers over 50 programs in technical, academic, and health related fields. Total annual enrollment at the school is roughly 6,000 students.
Wallace State Community College and Athens State University formed a partnership which allows students to complete higher-level classes sponsored by Athens State University at the Wallace State Community College campus in Hanceville.
The college is accredited to award Associate’s of Applied Science (A.S.S.) degree by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Many of the college’s programs are individual accredited.
