Founded in 1996, the Florida Coastal School of Law (locally referred to as “Coastal”) is privately owned and operated ABA accredited law school located in Jacksonville, Florida. The school has a total annual enrollment of roughly 1,700 law students and a full-time faculty of 120. Florida Coast School of Law is a for-profit higher education institution that is owned by the InfiLaw System, a Sterling Partners investment fund which owns several law schools including Phoenix School of Law and Charlotte School of Law. Florida Coastal School of Law has been fully accredited by the American Bar Association since 2002. Coastal offers a traditional Juris Doctorate (JD) program as well as several specialized legal certification programs. Specialized areas of study at Coastal include sports law, environmental law, family law, legal research and writing, and international comparative law.
