Eastern Washington University (EWU) is located in Cheney, Washington. This public, coeducational university was founded in 1882. As of 2011, EWU had an enrollment of more than 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students for their fall semester.

EWU is made up of four colleges: Social & Behavioral Sciences and Social Work, Health and Engineering, Business and Public Administration, and Arts and Letters. Over 100 majors, 10 master’s degrees, 55 graduate programs, seven graduate certificates, and an applied doctoral program for physical therapy are offered at EWU.

Programs like Creative Writing Master of Fine Arts, Communication Studies, Child & Family Outreach Program, Interdisciplinary Studies, Counseling Education & Developmental Psychology, Alcohol & Drug Studies, Journalism, and Social Work Program (part-time Master’s) are offered in Spokane. Kent provides a master’s in education and a master’s in social work is offered in Yakima, Vancouver, and Everett.

In addition to its central campus in Cheney the university also has virtual satellite campuses in Bellevue, Everett, Kent, Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, Vancouver and Yakima, Washington.
