Eastern Oregon University, also known as EOU, is a four-year university that resides in La Grande, Oregon. As a member of the Oregon University System, EOU one of seven universities funded by the State of Oregon and offers both bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.

La Grande, Oregon is conveniently located in the Blue Mountain area, just a few hours from several key cities. To can travel to La Grande from Portland, Oregon in about four hours; Boise, Idaho in three; Seattle, Washington in five; and Spokane, Washington in four. EOU has about 1,650 on-campus students and nearly 2,100 students when includes those enrolled in the University’s distance education programs.

There are 26 buildings on EOU’s campus. Four of them are co-ed housing units: Alikut Hall, Daugherty Hall, Hunt Hall and North Hall. The National Register of Historic Places lists EOU’s administration building, Inlow Hall, as a site worthy of preservation.

Eastern Oregon University is made up of three colleges: College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, and College of Education. Programs offered through these colleges include various bachelor’s degrees as well as Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Arts in Teaching, and Master of Education degrees. Gresham, Oregon is home to a secondary EOU campus where students can participate in live business and elementary education programs. Other popular areas of study at EOU include agricultural science, dental hygiene, military science, and nursing, along with eight distance education programs students can use to get a degree.
