Eastern Connecticut State University (locally referred to as “Eastern”) is a public liberal arts university located in Willimantic, Connecticut. Established in 1889, it is the third-oldest higher education institution in the state. In addition to its main campus in Willimantic, Eastern also offers courses through partnerships with Capital Community College, Manchester Community College and a satellite campus in Groton. U.S. News & World Report ranked Eastern Connecticut State University among the top 30 public regional universities in the north and it recently showed up Princeton Review’s “Best I the Northeast”.
