Diablo Valley College is a community college located in Pleasant Hill, California, a suburb of the San Francisco Bay Area. Also known as DVC, it is a two-year school that is popular with students transferring to a four-year university.

DVC was founded in 1949 and is currently part of the Contra Costa Community College District. It is one of the top five transfer schools in the state, feeding institutions such as San Francisco State University, the University of California Berkeley, the University of California Davis and California State University East Bay.

DVC enrolls more than 22,000 students and operates satellite campuses in Walnut Creek, San Ramon, Danville, Concord and Martinez. The college employs about 300 full-time faculty and nearly 400 part-time instructors. The school is a popular destination for international students from Asia wishing to begin their undergraduate college coursework.

Many students attend DVC for occupational and technical training in fields such as culinary crafts, hotel and restaurant management, real estate and dental technology.
