This program is designed to prepare students to work with pathologists to detect changes in body cells that may indicate, and permit diagnosis of, the early development of cancers and other diseases. This program frequently includes in depth instruction in biochemistry, applied mathematics, microbiology, microscopy, identification of cellular structures and abnormalities, slide preparation, and laboratory procedures and safety.
