This program is designed to prepare students to plan and manage institutional facilities and programs for housing and rehabilitating prisoners in the public and/or private sectors. This program typically includes in depth instruction in the principles and practice of correction, safety and security, facilities planning and management, social and health services, budgeting, staff and inmate management, correctional psychology, communication skills, and applications to specific types of correctional facilities approaches.
