School Overview
Concordia University Wisconsin (locally referred to CUW) is a coeducational university that is privately owned and operated by the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, a confessional Protestant denomination with about 2.4 million members. The university is located in the city of Mequon, in the state of Wisconsin and belongs to the Concordia University System, a group of 10 Lutheran college.
Concordia is regionally accredited by the Northern Central Association of College and Schools to award bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. The university currently offers undergraduate majors and minors in over 80 fields of study and disciplines and graduate degrees in 18 concentrations. It also offers three doctoral degrees (in nursing, physical therapy and pharmacy) and 8 adult education programs. For working students with busy schedules, Concordia offers evening classes and various e-learning and online degree programs. Other than the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Concordia is the only other university in the state to have a school of pharmacy.
All degrees at CUW are offered through one of its five academic colleges or schools, which include, the School of Business and Legal Studies, the School of Adult and Continuing Education, the School of Human Servies, the School of Education and the School of Arts and Sciences.
