Founded in 1881, Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Bronxville, New York. It is a Christian-affiliated higher education institution that focuses on undergraduate liberal arts education. Concordia offers an interdisciplinary curriculum based on experiential learning. Degrees are offered in various fields of study and academic disciplines, including business, education, health sciences and services, liberal studies, biology, English, nursing, social work, and social sciences, among others. Concordia currently offers one master’s degree in Elementary Special Education.
The student body at Concordia College is diverse. Students come from over half of the states in the U.S. and more than 35 foreign countries from every corner of the world. The student-to-faculty ratio is a very attractive 13 to 1 and more than three-quarters of faculty members have doctoral or terminal degrees in their academic field of expertise.
Concordia has a well-developed system of on-campus housing facilities and residence halls. Most students who attend Concordia live on campus. Consequently, Concordia College is home to a close-knit community, where students enjoy an active student life and close friendships with fellow students and faculty members. Students also have the opportunity to participate in community outreach programs, religious activities, ensembles and a myriad of student organizations.
