The Community College of Denver is also known as CCD. The main campus is located in Auraria, a suburb of Denver, along with two additional campuses in the area.

CCD has a mission to make higher education accessible to underserved minorities and first-generation immigrants. The school has been nationally recognized for its emphasis on these underprivileged students. CCD has active programs to recruit, enroll and retain these students so their college experience translates to real academic success.

CCD offers two-year degrees and professional certification, as well as transfer programs, in which students may transfer course credit to a four-year college or university.
