Jesus Christ has been at the center of Clarks Summit University since it was originally founded in 1932 as Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson City, New York. It soon outgrew those facilities and started building the current Clarks Summit campus. In 2016 the school received University status and the name was changed to Clarks Summit University.

Clarks Summit University is a college education institution that is founded on Baptist principles and teachings. Students can come to Clarks Summit University to prepare for a variety of careers and ministries.
