Chaffey College is a two-year, degree granting community college located in Rancho, Cucamonga, California. It was founded in 1883 as the Chaffey College of Agriculture of the University of Southern California. It’s name was later changed to Chaffey College when it became an indepedent public institution. Chaffey is the oldest community college in California as well as one of the oldest in the United States.

Chaffey has a nice campus with ample facilities. Over the last few years millions have been invested into renovating and upgrading its campus structures and buildings. It recently added a new science complex, convenience store, student services facility, educational excellence center, and dining commons area.

Currently students have the option of pursuing a two-year associates degree or occupational certificate in any one of several fields of study and academic disciplines in business, arts, psychology, nursing, history, or science.

College administration, faculty and staff go out of their way to make the education at Chaffey as affordable as possible for students. Tuition rates are very competitive and most learning supplies (including books) are offered to students at a discount. Chaffey also offers a unique rental program that enables students to rent their books for a semester, instead of buying them.

Athletics is an important element of student life at Chaffey. Student athletes and sports teams are known as the “Panthers”.
