Financial Aid and Scholarships

Financial aid at Chadron State College
includes applying for federal aid from
the government. This is something that
every student should do before looking
into loans or other options.
Scholarships are also an option to
consider, both directly from Chadron and
through other organizations. Chadron
State College offers scholarships for
incoming freshmen, transfer scholarships
such as the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship,
and numerous others. For current
students there are also many options to
consider including: Bank of the West
Endowment, Ed Bieganski Develop Your
Potential Endowment, and the Elizabeth
and Bertha Braddock Memorial. There are
many more options as well. Look into all
of them carefully, so that you can get
the help that you need to get through
school.

Library System

At the Chadron State College Library,
you can take advantage of a variety of
resources that will help you as you
study and research for your classes. The
library offers the Ebsco catalog, book
databases, article databases, and
more.  At the same time, you will
be able to take advantage of the coffee
shop it provides where you can take some
time away from the books and enjoy your
favorite beverage. The newly renovated
facility should provide you with exactly
what you need to get back to your
studies.

Athletics

Chadron State College offers a broad
range of sports through its athletic
department. Whether you would like to
compete in intramural sports or
intercollegiate, there are several
options available. On the
intercollegiate level, the Chadron
Eagles are in the Rocky Mountain
Athletic Conference as well as the NCAA
Division II. Basketball, track and
field, wrestling, cross country, golf,
and softball are some of the areas in
which students can compete in
intercollegiate sports.

Student Housing

Coming on campus as a new student can
be difficult. By choosing to live in the
residence halls, you will more quickly
become acclimated to the new life
experience. Chadron offers comfortable
rooms where you can either stay with or
without a roommate. You will be close to
everything that you need, so that you
can spend as much time as you need
studying while still getting your
necessary breaks.
