Chabot College is a two-year community college located in the city of Hayward, California. It was founded in 1961, has a total annual enrollment of roughly 15,000 students, and is situated on a 94-acre campus. It was first established to provided career training and higher education for the residents of the east region of Northern California’s Bay Area.

The college offers two-year Associate of Arts (A.A.) and Associate of Science (A.S.) degrees as well as technical certificates in over 150 fields of study and disciplines. The college divided into to six areas of study: Math and Sciences, Arts, Physical Education, Social Sciences, Applied Technology and Business, and Language Arts. Some of the more popular degrees offered at Chabot include business, management, human resources, entrepreneurship, health care management, accounting, real estate, and marketing.

About half of the students that attend Chabot do so with the intention of transfering to a four-year college or university upon completion of their associate’s degree. The rest earn career-oriented degrees and certificates that will prepare them for entry-level jobs and career advancement opportunities.

Chabot College is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
