Cameron University is a
state-funded university in Lawton,
Oklahoma. The school offers more than 50
degrees within the areas of science, the
liberal arts, technology, and professional
and graduate studies. It is the only
school in Oklahoma which offers
associate, bachelor's, and master's
degrees all at the same site.

Cameron employs many resources to ensure
students have adequate access to the
school. Students at Cameron can
participate in evening classes and also may utilize
the internet to attend class from anywhere
in the world. Students also have access to
the Army ROTC program, teacher
certification programs, pre-professional
studies, cooperative education, and
independent study. Cameron offers an
honors program, advanced standing, early
admission, and college-level examination
programs. The honors program does require
that students perform at or above average
on national assessment exams. More than
half of new students entering Cameron
require remedial work due to lower than
average performance on ACT, SAT and other
standardized examinations.

Cameron is comprised of the following
colleges and schools: Graduate Studies;
School of Business; School of Education
and Behavioral Sciences; School of Liberal
Arts; School of Science and Technology;
and Adult and Continuing Education. The
bachelor's programs offered are: Bachelor
of Accounting; Bachelor of Arts; Bachelor
of Business Administration; Bachelor of
Fine Arts; Bachelor of Music; Bachelor of
Music Education; and Bachelor of Science.
Associat degrees in Science and Applied
Science are also available, as are
graduate degrees in Business
Administration, Education, and Science.
Online programs are offered through the
Cameron Online program.

The school offers scholarships, grants,
student loans, tuition waivers, and
work-study funds to help students defray
the cost of attendance. Both institutional
and non-institutional scholarships are
available.

Library System

The Cameron University Library offers an
extensive book catalogue, mobile
resources, databases (articles and more),
and journals, as well as video and audio
resources. The library also offers
information literacy classes.

Student Housing

Traditional residential housing is
provided at the Shepler Center, two
high-rise buildings with males in North
Shepler and females in South Shepler. The
buildings are connected by a commons area
that includes laundry facilities, the
cafeteria, and a 24-hour computer lab. Also
included are a fitness center, cable
television, and internet access.

The on-campus Cameron Village apartments
are billed as an alternative to
traditional housing. These include
furnished living rooms and bedrooms, fully
